Currently designing for my former professor at the University of Michigan – School of Information, Sarita Schoenebeck. The project requires me to design a website that will serve as a home to research conducted on the history of (almost all) social media platforms.
I worked with the Smithsonian's Digitization Department for eight months as a UX design consultant to improve the usability and accesibility of their 3D Voyager Platform. My team and I redesigned the entire 3D Voyager experience to better align with their intended audience and give users a smooth, and overall less intimidating experience to the Smithsonian's complicated 3D tool.
For six months I was a full-time and then part-time intern for Showtime Networks. I gained so much professional UX design and research experience from this role. I saw how design projects are approached in an in-house environment, conducted and organized research, learned how to communicate with developers, and learned how to maintain and utilize large, company wide design systems.
For four months in 2022, I had a position as a graphic designer and a gallery assistant at the Ann Arbor Art Center. I created graphics for the Art Center's scholarship program, where the stories of these children were showcased on social media. I also helped the head exhibit designer open their first show in a brand new gallery space.
My first ever office job was at an electric vehicle start up called Electric Last Mile Solutions in Troy, Michigan as a Digital Marketing Intern. I experienced first hand the fast-pace environment of a start up, and learned so much about marketing. I handled the company's first ever email newsletter campaign, created a social media plan, and even helped plan events. I learned what SEOs were and how to use them to benefit a business.
